Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care and perform nursing procedures as needed
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, vital signs, and symptoms
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Conduct phlebotomy and IV infusion procedures
- Assist with alimentation and ventilation of patients
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Provide specialized care in areas such as hospice care, memory care, ophthalmology, etc.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records
Experience:
- Valid nursing license in Arkansas
- Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or in a similar leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Strong understanding of infection control measures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make critical decisions
